Pippa Middleton reveals diet, workout tips that keep her toned in UK magazine - Today.com

Ever admired Pippa Middleton's physique? Now, it can be yours.

In a new monthly 'mind and body' column for Britain's 'Waitrose Weekend' magazine, the royal reveals just how she stays so toned and healthy, and outlines her favorite practical diet rules and exercises.

'I grew up with the belief that good health is about moderation in all things, so I'll be celebrating healthy living through exercise, a balanced diet and a little of the naughty stuff sprinkled in - I'm talking chocolate, crisps, and the occasional glass of wine,' she wrote.

Prince William's sister-in-law, who completed a 3,000 mile cycling trip across the U.S. earlier this summer, and regularly competes in triathlons, says she swears by four simple exercise moves - ladders, planks, pliƩ squats and wall pushes - performed in a circuit with a 30-second break in between each move and a 2-minute rest between each round of the circuit. The moves, Middleton writes, are collectively 'great for toning all over.'

'Do the routine three times a week and you'll really notice a difference,' she wrote.

Besides staying toned, Middleton said that staying active is great for her mind and well-being.

'I know that if I fit in at least three, ideally five, sessions of exercise a week, be it a 30-minute run, an hour's walk or a good game of tennis, it boosts my mood and energy, and helps me sleep and digest better,' she wrote. 'So I make it a priority, whatever the weather or my work schedule.'

Middleton stresses that in staying healthy, above all, moderation is key. 'I've never done Dukan, attempted Atkins or exercised religiously seven days a week, but I do believe in making healthy choices - keeping refined carbs such as white bread and pasta to a minimum, and sticking to sensible portion sizes.'

The column in full can be found in 'Waitrose Weekend' Magazines and on iPads. Middleton has penned health-and-fitness-minded columns before as a contributing editor for 'Vanity Fair' magazine. In 2012, she published her first book, 'Celebrate: A Year of British Festivities for Family and Friends.'
